Do you deliver anywhere in Ireland?

Yes. We deliver nationwide across Ireland with DPD. Rural addresses can occasionally take an extra day. You can also collect your order in person from our shop at 38 Ballymahon Street, Longford.

Do you deliver to Northern Ireland?

Yes. We deliver to Northern Ireland as well as the Republic. Orders travel chilled in the same insulated packaging, and delivery to Northern Ireland addresses may occasionally take an extra day compared with the Republic.

What time do I need to order for next day delivery?

Order before 2pm for next working day dispatch. Orders placed after 2pm on Friday, or at any time Saturday to Monday, are dispatched on Tuesday. We ship Tuesday to Friday only, excluding bank holidays, so that no parcel sits in a depot over a weekend.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery is €12 on orders up to €30, and €8.99 on orders from €30 to €99. Orders over €120 are delivered free. Collection from our Longford shop is always free.

How is the meat kept cold in transit?

Every order travels in an insulated box with ice gel packs, dispatched Tuesday to Friday so nothing sits in a depot over a weekend. We achieve next-day delivery on 97% of orders.

Do I need to be at home to receive my order?

Yes. Because we ship fresh chilled meat, someone needs to be present to take the parcel in. DPD will make three delivery attempts, after which the parcel can be collected from your local depot.

Can I collect my order in Longford?

Yes. Choose store pickup at checkout and collect from Herterich Artisan Meats, 38 Ballymahon Street, Longford, N39 D2C4. Call us on +353 43 334 6597 if you need to arrange a specific collection time. Our shop is open Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm. More about visiting our Longford shop.

Is all your meat Irish?

Yes. We use 100% Irish beef, pork, lamb, chicken and turkey. Our carcass beef and lamb come from Rawles in Ballinalee, fifteen minutes from our shop; our pork from Green Pastures Meats; our poultry from Hogan's Farm. All cutting, curing and sausage making is done on our own premises in Longford town under HACCP food safety monitoring.
